Partiamo proprio dal titolo, come mai “L’Ultima Conoscenza”
Quali sono gli argomenti ricorrenti, o per lei fondamentali,
che tratta in questo volume?
Re:
La mia, è una mente estremamente logica e razionale, così che
quando mi approccio con una nuova opera, sia letteraria o di
altra natura “linguistica”, visualizzo il mio progetto creativo
sintetizzandolo nel titolo che ho scelto di usare, per poi dar
seguito al racconto che è già completo dentro di me; fin nei
minimi particolari. “L’Ultima Conoscenza” rappresenta per me il
completamento di una lunga e tormentata esperienza di vita al
fine di coronare quella sete di conoscenza che, per varie
circostanze della mia esistenza, mi hanno visto arrivare a
questo media espressivo (la letteratura) in un periodo non più
giovanile della mia vita. Ho percorso, fin da bambino, un lungo
cammino con l’intento, in solitudine, di costruirmi, con l’aiuto
dell’arte, un mondo ideale nel quale rifugiarmi; migliore di
quello che il caso aveva voluto concedermi…, cercando di tenere
ben saldi i fili che collegavano questi diversi media, tra loro,
attraverso i quali andavo completando, cercando di realizzare e
migliorare costantemente, tutta quella che io consideravo la mia
spasmodica creatività compulsiva.
Quanto la realtà ha inciso nella scrittura?
Re:
Sono un fedele sostenitore della realtà, che trovo assai più
entusiasmante della finzione: anche se i luoghi, gli arredi o le
situazioni, nelle storie narrate, tu non li abbia mai visti
oggettivamente, ciò non vuol dire che non esistano poiché essi
esistono in maniera tangibile dentro la tua mente e poco importa
che tu li abbia già concretizzati/realizzati/vissuti, essi, i
tuoi racconti, pazienti aspettano che tu li realizzi. Quindi si:
<< la realtà ha inciso profondamente sul mio romanzo!>>.
La scrittura come valore testimoniale, cosa ha voluto salvare e
custodire dall’oblio del tempo con questo suo libro?
Re:
la scrittura, come media espressivo, è quello che, più degli
altri, ti fa accedere alle zone più intime di tutto il tuo
essere, in grado di descrivere le sensazioni e le emozioni più
sottili, di farti “vedere” tutto ciò che non si può vedere, e
che dentro di te tumultuoso bussa per “venire alla luce”.
Meravigliosa testimonianza dell’unico essere senziente e
consapevole dell’esistere che da senso all’Universo tutto
poiché, se non ci fosse, non importerebbe a nessuno della sua
bellezza… Quale migliore testimonianza di quella di un uomo che
vive la sua esistenza, giorno dopo giorno, da tramandare ai
propri simili?!
A conclusione di questa esperienza formativa che ha partorito il
libro “L’Ultima Conoscenza” se dovesse isolare degli
episodi che ricorda con particolare favore come li
descriverebbe?
Re:
“L’Ultima Conoscenza” che ho terminato di scrivere nel 2002,
dopo varie rivisitazioni, è stato per me il banco di scuola che
mi è mancato, dove ho imparato a scrivere e a conoscermi,
profondamente e intimamente, con il quale ho provato a mettermi
a nudo con le mie passioni e i miei deliri più intimi; tentando
di ipotizzare un futuro, che ad alcuni potrebbe apparire
utopistico, che sicuramente col tempo mi darà ragione;
soddisfacendo quella che io considero la mia, ma non solo mia,
curiosità sull’ultima conoscenza; del resto, le utopie di ieri
non sono le realtà di oggi…?!
Quali sono le sue fonti di ispirazione: altri autori che ritiene
fondamentali nella sua formazione culturale e sentimentale?
Re:
Come ho anzidetto, mi sono avvicinato tardi al mondo della
letteratura, intento a vivere e godere intensamente della mia
giovinezza; a godere della piena libertà conquistata e tanto
agognata… Poi, il mio incontro con una singolare Professoressa
di Mestre; alla quale ho dedicato questo mio romanzo, mi ha
fatto scoprire quanto la mia visione delle cose fosse assai
ristretta e che avevo assolutamente bisogno di cercare di
recuperare quel tempo perduto, che stava solamente li, in attesa
che io mettessi giudizio… Ho iniziato a leggere con i libri che
la mia generosa Maestra mi regalava: se non ricordo male il
primo fu “Il Sergente Nella Neve” Di Mario Rigoni Stern. Mi
spronava continuamente, spingendomi sempre un po’ più avanti e
così la passione per la letteratura pian piano è cresciuta: una
raccolta di alcuni autori che ho letto sono inseriti nella mia

ogni volta che ne finisco uno lo inserisco nell’elenco; come
monito che mi ricorda che la mia strada per colmare quel divario
culturale è ancora assai lunga...
Ci sono altre discipline artistiche, o artisti, che hanno in
qualche modo influenzato la sua scrittura?
Re:
Il mio primo amore è stata l’Arte visiva, in tutte le sue
declinazioni, con la quale ho realizzato tutto il mio percorso
formativo artistico fin dalle opere più giovanili degli anni
60’: ( Pittura, Scultura ecc), per poi approdare all’Arte
Contemporanea di ricerca nel finire degli anni 80’, nella quale
anche tuttora opero: all’epoca ho fondato il periodico mensile
di Cultura informazione e Spettacolo denominato “Sogni”; un
omaggio che avevo voluto dedicare al grande Akiro Kurosawa con
il suo film omonimo, per una grande avventura come Editore;
nella quale sede redazionale, mi ero dovuto necessariamente
dotare di un Computer per la realizzazione della impaginazione
del mio Giornale. Sicuramente sta proprio li quello che ha
influenzato la mia scrittura poiché, in quegli anni, grazie
all’attrezzatura in mio possesso, ho iniziato la mia particolare
ed entusiasmante ricerca artistica nella “Computer-Art”; per
allora considerata da tutti una pazzia anche solo da immaginare…
Questo formidabile mezzo avveniristico, il Computer, per la
verità, allora ancora in fase embrionale e molto lento, mi fece
appassionare ai nuovi media, che avrebbe trasformato
radicalmente il mio, ma non solo il mio, linguaggio espressivo,
dove nel mio romanzo “L’Ultima Conoscenza” la fa da padrone.
Oltre a quello trattato nel suo libro, quali altri generi
letterari predilige?
Re:
La mia grande passione è la Fisica in generale: Galileo,
Einstein, Planck. L’Universo mi affascina, quindi la Relatività
Generale, la Fisica Quantistica, le varie teorie delle stringhe
o degli universi paralleli, la Materia Oscura e l’Energia
oscura, ma anche la matematica nel meraviglioso mondo della
geometria: ho finito di leggere da qualche mese “L’Enigma di
Poincaré” che ho trovato molto illuminante poiché ho trovato
molti punti di contatto, per esempio in Topologia
sull’omeomorfismo, che ho sto sviluppando attualmente in Arte
con la mia ricerca geometrica sulle immagini speculari bi, tri e
quadridimensionali.
Ho molto interesse anche per le letture di psicanalisi: altro
meraviglioso mondo della mente, sopratutto quello onirico; un
mio aspetto introspettivo che vale il 50% della mia esistenza e
che ho inserito nel mio romanzo.
Preferisce il libro tradizionale cartaceo o quello digitale?
Re:
Penso che ciò che interessa di un libro sia il suo contenuto a
prescindere che esso sia di carta o digitale: il futuro avanza
ed il prodotto; di qualunque sia la sua natura, chi lo acquista
lo vuole ricevere prima possibile per poterlo “consumare”. Il
tempo, inesorabile, nostro malgrado, soppianterà il “vecchio”
con il nuovo…
Per terminare, qual è stato il suo rapporto con la scrittura,
durante la composizione del libro.
Re:
Il mio rapporto con la scrittura, durante la stesura del mio
romanzo, è stato molto conflittuale in quanto, per via di quella
mia “creatività compulsiva”, ho bisogno di cambiare
continuamente media e quindi passo dalla letteratura alla
musica; dove compongo brani sempre con l’ausilio del computer

. La cucina, grande mia passione, nella quale mi cimento tutti i
giorni con la “Food-Art”, estensione della mia ricerca artistica
multimediale che io considero il media per Antonomasia, primo
mezzo di comunicazione espressivo, con il quale l’uomo si è
relazionato con i propri simili. Ho un continuo bisogno di
sperimentare strade nuove e come ho già detto crescere in tutto
quello che ho iniziato e che devo portare avanti, quindi restare
inchiodato al computer a scrivere per lungo tempo mi esaspera;
anche perché non vedo l’ora di averlo ultimato.
Un motivo per cui lei comprerebbe

se non lo avesse scritto.
Re:
Poiché acquistare un libro è sempre un salto nel buoi, io lo
comprerei solo dopo aver letto questa intervista.
Ha in progetto altre opere da scrivere nel prossimo futuro? In
caso affermativo, può darcene una anticipazione?
Re:
Ho in programma la pubblicazione di una raccolta di poesie dal
titolo “Poesie da Viaggio”, in doppia lingua: Italiano e
Inglese, che dovrebbe vedere la luce nel 2018 sempre con la
vostra Casa Editrice, nel frattempo, da qualche anno, sto
lavorando alla mia biografia dal titolo “Il Piccolo venditore
d’Acqua”: non so quando riuscirò a terminarla e spero che
quel momento arrivi il più tardi possibile; conto di superare i
150 anni di vita; mio nonno è morto a 100, quindi, essendo una
biografia della mia vita, vorrei includere ancora molti ricordi
di questa mia meravigliosa e sorprendente esistenza che ancora
devo nel mio futuro scrivere…
L’ULTIMA CONOSCENZA

Gli autori che penso siano
stati per me fondamentali sono sicuramente: Pirandello con il
suo “Fu Mattia Pascal” o “L’uomo dal fiore in bocca” ed altri…
Moravia con il suo “Gli indifferenti” dai dettagli quasi
maniacali; Buzzati con il suo meraviglioso “Il Deserto dei
Tartari” dove i silenzi sono per me così “confortanti”; o forse
perché penso che mi assomigli tanto… Poi Dostoevskij con i suoi
“Fratelli Karamazov” o “Delitto e Castigo”; ma anche Tolstoj con
“Guerra e Pace”; poi Kafka con “ Il Processo” ma anche “ La
Metamorfosi”; “Una giornata di Ivan Denisovic” di Solzenicyn.
Chiaramente, “Se Questo è un Uomo” del grande Levi; ma anche
Euripide con la sua meravigliosa “Ifigenia in Aulide” o con “Le
baccanti” ecc… ecc… ecc…
Troppe pagine servirebbero per
citare tutti quegli autori che possano avermi influenzato!
Answer:
My mind is extremely logical and rational, so that when I'm
based on a new work, both literary and of a different
"linguistic" nature, I will visualize my creative project
synthesizing it in the title the story that is already complete
inside of me; down to the smallest details. "The Last Knowledge"
represents for me the completion of a long and tormented
experience of life in order to crown that thirst for knowledge
that, through various circumstances of my existence, that made
me to reach this expressive media (literature) in a no more
young period of my life. Since I was a child, I have travelled a
long way with the intention, in solitude, to construct, with the
help of art, an ideal world in which to take refuge; thank you
for having wanted to grant me ..., trying to hold firmly the
threads that connected these different media, among them,
through which I can complete, trying to realize and constantly
improve, all that I consider my spasmodic compulsive creativity.
How much has reality affected writing?
Answer:I am a
loyal supporter of reality, which I find much more exciting than
fiction: even if you have never seen the real objects or
situations of the stories, does not mean that they do not exist
in a tangible way in your mind and it matters little that you
have already concretized or experienced them, they, your
stories, wait patiently for you to realize them. So yes: <<
reality has deeply affected my novel! >>.
Writing as a
testimonial value, what did you want to save and preserve from
the oblivion of time in your book?
Answer: writing, as an
expressive media, is able, more than others, to describe the
most subtle sensations and emotions, to make you "see" all that
you can not see, and that inside you knocks tumultuous to "come
to light". Wonderful testimony of the only sentient being and
that makes sense of the entire universe; if there were not, no
one would care about its beauty ... What better testimony than
that of a man who lives his life, day after day, to be passed
down to his fellow men? !
As a conclusion of this
formative experience that gave birth to the book "The Last
Knowledge", if you would isolate some episodes that you in
particular remember, how would you describe it?
Answer:
"The Last Knowledge" that I finished writing in 2002, after
various revisions, was for me the school desk that I missed, as
I learned to know, deeply and intimately, with whom I tried to
put myself bare with my passions and my most intimate deliriums;
trying to hypothesize a future, which to some might seem
utopian, that surely with the time I want to be right;
satisfying what I consider mine, but not only mine, curiosity
about the latest knowledge; after all, the utopias of yesterday
are not the realities of today ...?!
What are your
sources of inspiration: other authors that you consider
fundamental in your cultural and sentimental training?
Answer: As I said above, I approached late the world of
literature, intent on living and intensely enjoying my youth; a
spectacle of full freedom conquered and so much coveted ...
Then, my meeting with a singular Professor of Mestre (Venice);
she made me discover how limited was my vision of the thing,
that I absolutely needed to recover the lost time that was just
waiting for me.
I started reading what my master gave me: if
I correctly remember the first was "The Sergeant In The Snow" By
Mario Rigoni Stern. He constantly encouraged me, always pushing
me a little further and so the passion for literature slowly
grew: a collection of some authors I read are included in my

, every time I finish one I insert it in the list as a warn that
reminds me that my way to fill that cultural gap is still very
long ...
The authors that I think were for me very
important are definitely: Pirandello with his "Fu Mattia Pascal"
or "The man with the flower in his mouth" and others ... Moravia
with his "Gli indifferenti" from almost maniacal details;
Buzzati with his wonderful "Il Deserto dei Tartari" where
silences are so "comforting" for me; or maybe because I think
they look so much like me ... Then Dostoevsky with his "Brothers
Karamazov" or "Crime and Punishment"; but also Tolstoy with "War
and Peace"; then Kafka with "The Process" but also "The
Metamorphosis"; "A day of Ivan Denisovic" by Solzenicyn.
Clearly, "If This is a Man" by the great Levi; but also
Euripides with its marvelous "Iphigenia in

Are there other artistic disciplines,
or artists, that have in any way influenced your writing?
Answer: My first love was visual art, in all its forms, with
which I realized all my artistic training path since the most
youthful works of the 60s': (Painting, Sculpture, etc.), and
then landed at the Contemporary Art of research in the late 80
', in which I still work: at the time I founded the monthly
magazine of Culture Information and Entertainment called
"Sogni"; a tribute I had wanted to dedicate to the great Akiro
Kurosawa with his eponymous film, for a great adventure as a
publisher; in which editorial office, I had to necessarily
provide me with a computer for the realization of the layout of
my newspaper. Surely it is precisely there that influenced my
writing because, in those years, thanks to the equipment in my
possession, I started my particular and exciting artistic
research in the "Computer-Art"; by then considered by everyone a
madness even to be imagined ... This formidable futuristic mean,
the Computer, for the truth, then still in the embryonic stage
and very slow, made me passionate about the new media, which
would radically transform my, but not only my, expressive
language, where in my novel "The Last Knowledge" take the rule.
In addition to the one dealt with in your book, what other
literary genres do you prefer?
Answer: My great passion
is Physics in general: Galileo, Einstein, Planck. The Universe
fascinates me, so the General Relativity, Quantum Physics, the
various theories of the strings or parallel universes, the Dark
Matter and the Dark Energy, but also the mathematics in the
wonderful world of geometry: I have finished reading from some
month "The Enigma of Poincaré" that I found very illuminating
because I found many points of contact, for example in Topology
on homomorphism, which I am currently developing in Art with my
geometric research on bi, tri and four-dimensional specular
images.
I am also very interested in psychoanalitic readings:
another wonderful world of the mind, especially the dreamlike
one; an introspective aspect of mine that is worth 50% of my
life and that I have included in my novel.
Do you prefer
the traditional paper or digital book?
Answer: I think
that what interests a book is its content regardless of whether
it is paper or digital: the future advances and the product,
whatever its nature or whoever buys it, wants to receive it as
soon as possible in order to "consume it". Time, inexorably, in
spite of ourselves, will supplant the "old" with the new ...
To finish, what was your relationship with writing, during
the composition of the book?
Answer: My relationship with
writing, during the writing of my novel, was very conflicting
because of my "compulsive creativity", I need constantly to
change the media and then move from literature to music; whit it

. The cooking, my great passion, in which I try every day with
the "Food-Art", extension of my multimedia artistic research
that I consider the media for Antonomasia, the first means of
expressive communication, with which the man has related to his
peers. I constantly need to experiment new ways and as I have
already said, grow in all that I have started and that I have to
carry forward, so to stay nailed to the computer and write for a
long time exasperates me; also because I can not wait to have it
completed.
A reason why you would buy "The Last
Knowledge" if you had not written it.
Answer: Since
buying a book is always a leap into the dark, I would buy it
only after reading this interview.
Are you planning of
writing other works in the near future? If so, can you give us
an anticipation?
Answer: I plan to publish a collection
of poems titled " Travel Poems", in two languages: Italian and
English, which should see the light in 2018 always with your
Publishing House, in the meantime, for some years, I'm working
on my biography entitled "The Little Water Seller": I do not
know when I will be able to finish it and I hope that the moment
arrives as late as possible; I account to exceed 150 years of
life; my grandfather died at 100, so, being a biography of my
life, I would like to include many memories of my wonderful and
surprising existence.
